For French General’s latest Collection Sacre Bleu, the designers at have gone back to the early French blues as inspiration. Sacre Bleu, sacred blue or holy blue has been the classic colour of France since the 15th century.
This latest fabric features three of their favourite blues: French Blue, Woad Blue and Indigo. Pearl, Ciel Bleu and Smoke has also been added for a subtle play of colours to evoke faded textiles bleached by the Mediterranean sun. This collection is perfect to create timeless heirlooms immediately or to cherish in your collection of textiles until the special moment arrives.​

A BIT ABOUT CLASSIC STITCHES
Our History
Classic Stitches has been servicing the needs of Quilters, Patchwork and Textile Artists since 2019.
Originally situated in Erskine, between the Indian Ocean and Peel Inlet, our store was a convenient stop off point between Mandurah and Bunbury for locals and visitors driving through to West Australia's regional holiday locations. We had a beautiful showroom displaying many quilts, fabrics and artworks. Half of the floorspace was for regular sewing groups, classes and workshops and we encouraged many different teachers to conduct their own projects to suit the needs of our customers. Longarm quilting was done upstairs and offsite by locally based quilters.

I closed our store in 2024 but have a smaller site in Port Kennedy for anyone to visit. Here I have my longarm quilting machine surrounded by many bolts of high quality fabric. It is a working space and a 'by appointment' showroom. I am also available to visit sewing groups and market days with fabric stock.
